Imprfct Space No. 4 is an immersive audiovisual installation created in collaboration with Jazzunique and Bright! Studios. The installation is a living, reactive organism the feeds on the relationship between sound, visual signals and emotion. The goal was to translate the immediate connection of these components into a holistic experience. The approach to this integration focuses on the emotions of the visitors to Imprfct Space: These emotions are individually captured by installed cameras, assigned to the visitors, and interpreted using AI tools. This results in emotional profiles, which lead to real-time generated sound and lighting effects, bringing the space to life in an immersive way.
By capturing the participants' spatial presence, the generated effects can be arranged three-dimensionally within the space. On the lighting level, this is reflected in individual light effects, which are precisely controlled and displayed via large-scale Astera HydraPanels. On the audio level, soundtracks generated to match the emotional profiles are played through speakers. Together, this creates a unique audiovisual experience.
The installation offers the possibility of either reflecting multiple emotions present in the room through sound and light and allowing visitors to immerse themselves in them, or letting each visitor experience and follow their own individual emotional environment. It is also interesting to observe what happens when different emotional profiles collide and blend.

Together with MPG and Serviceplan / House of Communication I developed and produced a complex, coherent Sound and Music concept for the 75 years of Porsche anniversary show in front of the Porsche Museum in Zuffenhausen. The show consisted of various chapters through the history of Porsche accompanied by various car performances. Besides bringing the giant facade of the museum to life through an impressive audiovisual projections, I developed in close collaboration with the team an associative, expressive musical theme, that both embodies the power and elegance of Porsche cars, reflects on the history, and which develops further throughout the show. Alltogether I composed 9 different pieces of music for the chapters / performances, 30 minutes of Soundbeds and all kinds of SFX for the projection animations. The audio quality of the live stream is not the best, so you can listen to two examples on the right side.
On a personal note: Obviously, for Porsche this was a really important event, but their agency didn't give me any instructions for the compositions and trusted me to do whatever I thought was right. There were no revisions in the development process, except for adapting to lengths or what I myself thought needed to be improved still. Everything I sent to them was instantly accepted. This and the work together with the amazing production team made this an exceptionally positive experience for me.
Ötztal Tourism offers a unique brand experience that invites all passersby to interact. The Ötztal 360 Visitor Center in the heart of Sölden aims to be a modern, immersive tourist information hub that helps to revitalize the entire village center. The holistic visitor experience consists of the elements of information, inspiration, and exploration. Interactive exhibits and stories from authentic locals extend the duration of visitors' stays.Digital installations, impressions, and highlights of the valley presented in cinematic format on an 8.5 by 3.5 meter screen bring the soul of the Ötztal to visitors in a technically up-to-date and authentic way. As the sound guy in the amazing team of Atelier Markgraph, who developed the concept and realisation of the visitor center, I wrote and produced the soundtracks and sound designs for the four impressive films shown in the cinema as well as the combining audiovisual elements as well as mixed and adapted the sound to the space to maximize the visitor experience. The video above is just a summary of the project and of course does not reflect the live experience.
For Lufthansa in close cooperation with Markenzeichen, Pixomondo and Eisele Communications I developed the sound and music for the Lufthansa A350 Launch Event at the hangar at Munich airport. The task was not only to deliver an impressive, matching music composition, that associatively works with the visuals produced by Pixomondo and the Lufthansa brand as well as the feeling of innovation and flying, but also to make this an unforgettable immersive experience for the about 5000 guests in the audience. The size of hangar was used in this concept through lights, a central big screen in front of the actual airplane and a sound system with quadrophonic surround. Lights and sound were synched in a way that the spacial experience started in the back of the hanger and condensed towards the screen before the launch movie was shown. I used the spatial positions of the loud speakers both for the sound design as well as the surround mixing of the music to guide the attention of the audience in sync with the light show through the hangar toward the plane.
The center piece of this show in Singapore is built around a sculpture by famous French architect Marc Fornes called "My Two Cars Garage". The show was realised NSYNK whose team I joined once again as the sound and music guy. Besides the usual audiovisual elements of this kind of show (countdown, structural elements etc. the main challenge was the actual reveal (around 26:00) which consists of a soundtrack divided in associative chapters of design and electricity in sync with an amazing projection mapping that brings the sculpture to live. As always I approached my general composition to reflect the feeling of the Porsche brand and the car itself, hence the choice for a solid futuristic track with an baroque-esque chord progression to match both the power as well as the elegance. In addition the animation and sound together are telling the story of the sculpture as a living organism coming to live and in a metaphorical sense giving birth to the car. For this I chose an almost primal associative soundscape as well as ethnic elements paired with high frequency synthesizers for the electricity. Once the show was over, the sculpture itself remained for a few weeks as an immersive art installation, for which I also composed an about 45min long ambient music loop for which I rebuilt the theme of the show in a long, softened way.
Since 2015 I have been working together with Atelier Markgraph to create both the booth of PLCNext / Phoenix Contact as well as the presentations at the SPS drives in Nürnberg. The challenges varied from augmented presentations with speakers and screens to interactive, immersive installations. The video above is just a summary of the concept of the SPS 2022. At this particular event and also at the SPS 2023 the booth consisted of different interactive stations which each had their own interactive user experience as well as soundbed. The biggest challenge was that out of 6 different loudspeakers 3 different overlapping sound beds and sound effects are located in close proximity. To turn this into a gratifying and unique atmosphere, I approached all different stations and the space as a whole creating various Techno loops which are all in harmony and in sync with each other. This concept makes it possible, that the sound beds of the different stations do not interfere, but rather compliment each other and out of the visitor's perspective the music dynamically changes into another matching mood when they walk around without any noticable break or interruption. I did also compose the music for this video, even though it has not much to do with the actual presentation.
